About Barāke

Hi, my name is Naimah, I’m the founder of Barāke — a 25-year-old woman who reconnected deeply with my faith after getting married.

As my relationship with prayer grew, so did the discomfort I felt in my body during salah.

I’ve struggled with knee and ankle pain for as long as I can remember. For years, I used whatever I could find — couch cushions, bed pillows — to make sujood more bearable. Eventually, I was squashing all my good pillows just to pray comfortably!

I noticed something similar at my grandma’s house — she’d layer her prayer mat with a blanket and a pillow to ease the pressure on her joints. That moment stayed with me. It made me realise how common this struggle is, yet how little support is out there for it — literally.

That’s when the idea for BarākeMat Comfort+ was born. I wanted to create something practical and beautiful — a mat that brings both relief and reverence to prayer. A space that makes you feel supported — physically and spiritually.

This mat isn’t just a product. It’s a reflection of my journey, my intention, and my love for the people who need it most.

Barāke means blessing, and my hope is that this mat becomes one in your daily life too.

With love and intention,
– Founder of Barāke
